Stories

Roland Hubert Zurfluh was born on May 23, 1930. He enlisted in the Army and served during the Korean War. Zurfluh had the rank of Private E-2. He was a Light Weapons Infantryman and served with the 24th Infantry Division unit 0019.
Zurfluh experienced a serious casualty which ultimately resulted in loss of life on July 16, 1950. This occurred in or around South Korea. Circumstances of the casualty were attributed to: "Killed in Action". Private Zurfluh was declared "Missing in Action in 1950. He was determined "Killed in Action" in 1952 and his body was returned home for burial in Nekoosa, WI.
