Ronald C. Huser:
Ron served in the U.S. Army as a medical corpsman, assigned to HHC 3d BN, 503 INF, 173 Airborne Brigade from 1966-1968.
In March of 1968, Ron was wounded in combat (on Hill 600, Kontum) while serving during the Viet Nam conflict. He was wounded in the right shoulder which caused paralysis to the right arm. Because of his injury he was discharged from the Army. Eventually, as a result of his injury he developed a kidney disease and in 1994 had a kidney transplant.
Ron's faith and love for life and family gave him the strength to pursue careers in farming and forestry.
In 2006 Ron was diagnosed with cancer and in April of 2006 he passed away. It was then the family was notified that "Agent Orange" was the factor for his cancer.
What Ron endured in his lifetime, has taught us how to get through the tough times in our lives today. He had a fun, loving personality and shared that with everyone he came in contact.
We love and miss him and his memory will stay with us forever.
