Stories

Louis Wellner
Company A was a military organization based out of Marshfield, Wisconsin at the time of World War I. One member of this group was Louis Wellner.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wellner and was married to Mrs. Louis Wellner of Marshfield. Louis was ranked a private in the army. He was serving his country in Verdun, France when he died due to wounds, sometime between November 10th and november 14, 1918. His wife received word of his death on November 16th, 1918. He is buried in Argonne, France.

We are glad to have people like Louis Wellner represent our country. Nothing can replace him, but we will always remember him in our hearts.
