Gus Brostowicz enlisted in the Army and served during World War I. Brostowicz held the rank of Officer NCO. He was a mechanic and served with the 26th Division, 101st Machine Gun Battalion. Brostowicz experienced a serious casualty which ultimately resulted in loss of life on December 08, 1918 He is buried at Plot B Row 16 Grave 12, St. Mihiel American Cemetery, Thiaucourt, France
