Gordon Firth was a man from Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. He joined the navy in March of 1943 and was stationed at Farrgut Ida Pogot Sound and Bremerton, Washington. He and another person went missing in the Pacific Ocean. Gordon Firth was born on August 26, 1925. Gordon had a parent named Alfred. He wasn't married. He didn't have any kids. He was a very brave man for joining the navy.

Gordon Firth was ranked an S2C. An S2C is a naval reactor used by United States. The S stand for submarine propulsion, the 2 stands for second generation, and the C is combustion engineering. The S2C also generates electricity and it also provides propulsion on warships.

Gordon Firth died November 24, 1943. This is what was going on when Gordon died, the U.S. Army troops landed on Makin Island in the Gilberts. The next day, U.S. marines land on Tarawa. Within four days, both islands were secured, but at the cost of thousands of casualties. Gordon was sadly killed in action. He died somewhere on the Gilbert Islands. The Gilbert Islands are a group of sixteen islands, which are in the Central Pacific. Gordon joined the navy along with many other brave soldiers.
